SMI is a hybrid search firm, with a blend of retained search results along with a pay-for-performance guarantee. SMI receives an Engagement Fee up front, with the remaining balance due at the time the new employee begins work. While many other search firms insist on long legal documents binding clients to a full fee, SMI simply sends a letter of agreement and an invoice for the Engagement Fee before beginning the assignment.

Once SMI commits to the search, the firm utilizes the talents of several key staff members to move the list of prospects into a manageable contact list of appropriate candidates. After in-depth interviewing, final candidates are then selected, from which we make a full range of reference and background checks, and this expanded profile is presented to our client.
