Manufacturing Manager

We currently seek a Manufacturing Manager for a leading biotechnology company specializing in the area of fluorescence technology in the Northwest. The purpose of this position is to lead the company's efforts in the transfer of the company's high value reagents and kits. This person will build the organization, with respect to size and competency, to achieve future growth objectives. He/she will also meet the company's manufacturing cost and quality goals and initiatives.

Qualifications include:
- BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience with a world class manufacturing organization of rare or specialty reagents/chemicals
- experience with the transfer of reagents/chemicals from R&D to pilot-scale to manufacturing lots
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in managing groups of at least 5 employees
- prior management of a world-class manufacturing unit
- understanding of compliance with the FDA and ISO guidelines
- experience with and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing systems (examples: MRP, MES, LIMS)
