Associate Director of Mass Spectometry

Search Masters International (SMI), a scientific and executive search firm with an industry focus on the biotechnology and pharmaceutical fields, is partnering with a world-class pharmaceutical company in the Northeast to identify their Associate Director/Director of Mass Spectrometry.   Our client offers a state of the art mass spectrometry facility, excellent compensation and benefits, and relocation. 

The new Director will lead a committed team of multidisciplinary Scientists in drug metabolism research to support drug discovery and development.   He/she will design and conduct research studies to address drug metabolism related issues.   A strong understanding of mass spectrometry and metabolite identification is required, as well as proven experience managing a team of Scientists. 

Position Qualifications Include:   Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline with 10+ years pharmaceutical mass spectrometry and drug metabolism experience.   Experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis and structural elucidation is required.  Excellent communication and management skills are a must.
