Director of Sales and Marketing

We currently seek an experienced Director of Sales and Marketing for a leading biotechnology company located in the Northwest specializing in the area of fluorescence technology. The purpose of this position is to plan, direct, and coordinate the sales and marketing of the company's research products and services. Services include product management, marketing communications, web/electronic marketing and sales. This position is responsible for the operating profit for the research products.

Qualifications include:
- BS/MS/PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or similar science (advanced degree preferred)
- MBA preferred
- 6+ years of experience with hands-on knowledge of marketing research products for the biosciences and experience in fluorescence technology
- Proven creativity, organizational and people-management skills
- Ability to efficiently assess, prioritize and handle multiple and changing projects and deadlines demonstrated in a marketing environment in a biosciences company
- Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills, with good technical writing skills
- Ability to interpret and summarize scientific results in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
