Vice President of Research

The Director/VP of Vaccine Research will work in New York and report to the Sr. VP of Vaccine Research and Development. The successful candidate will play a key role as a part of the senior management team in the direction of vaccine research and design activities.

Responsibilities include:
- Leadership and direction of activities associated with pre-clinical vaccine research and design including: surveillance of AIDS vaccine design, address scientific challenges in AIDS vaccine design, immunological assay development and validation, Small animal model of non-human primate studies.
- Provide leadership and direction of annual vaccine research strategic plans, goals, objectives, budgeting, and staffing.
- Supervision and management of scientific staff.

Qualifications include:
- Ph.D. in scientific discipline
- Minimum 10 years experience in vaccine research
- In depth understanding and experience in AIDS vaccine research
- Strong management and excellent communication skills
